SPOKANE COUNTY HOME SALES
Spokane County figures for the six months ending June 2008
A month-to-month upswing in Spokane County homes sales continued in June, though total sales and the amount of transactions remained nearly a third off last year’s numbers – a $23 million difference.
The Multiple Listing Service recorded 592 sales, compared to 489 last month, according to data from the Spokane Association of Realtors. Both average and median sales prices increased from May and remained above last year’s June levels.
There were 3,422 homes on the market as of July 3rd – 68 more than last month and 516 more that a year ago.
The value of closed sales this year totaled $493.2 million, compared with $722.81 million during the first six months of 2007.
Year-to- date, the average price is slightly lower at $206,016, while the median is just a touch higher at $184,275.

Average Sale Price: $216,454 Median was $193,000
Average Home Price: down 2% So far this year over last year
